The USGenWeb Project is dedicated to providing free information
on line for genealogical research. It is organized along
geographic lines with a site for each state, then below that for each
county, and in some cases, separate sites for each city.

3,200 counties in the US, there are a LOT of others not hosted by USGW,
but we are proud of the great job done by the volunteers here.

The GIWWW is a great resource for searching for genealogical
and historical information on the WWW. From here you can search
our data base of over 3 million names, and also access dozens of other
search engines on the WWW all from one query.

We host a number of sites which deal with a particular
surname. Check here to see if you can match up with fellow
researchers.
